Welcome back or welcome aboard! We are excited to kick off the 2023 season with friends and neighbors in Chesterfield County!

Volunteers

We couldn’t run the pool without your generous time and energy! We are a tax-exempt non-profit, neighborhood-owned pool. We are 100% volunteer board-run. We ask over the season many times for your help and support in order to keep things running and in hopes to keep our costs at a manageable amount for our members and new families who want to join. We’ll be posting ALL events for the summer and hope you’ll consider helping with at least one event!

Improvements

You’re probably wondering – where does all the money go?

• New toilets have been installed in both bathrooms
• New light posts are being installed
• Lights have been fixed in the pool
• The pool was painted (needed every few years due to wear/usage)
• Holes patched in the parking lot
• Repair bench seats around the baby pool
• Swim caps for the swim team
• Diving blocks for the swim team
• Chairs/loungers with straps missing repaired
• Additional umbrellas purchased

You probably look around and see MUCH MORE that needs improving – believe us, we are always working to keep things updated. While we can’t always get to everything, we are open to any/all ideas you may have to improve the facility.

Donations

• We do our best to keep up the landscaping with volunteer help so thanks go to many neighbors and members who stepped up in preparation for the opening to help us.
• A new audio/PA system was graciously donated by the Klatt family for events and especially swim meets!
• Mulch was donated for the playground area thanks to Rachel Pleasants!
• Amazing, sustainable outdoor light posts were donated by Justin Pleasants and will be installed in phases
• We also look for hand-me-downs for tables and chairs due to their expense. While we typically have to replace umbrellas each season, we’ve been gifted with additional tables this year thanks to Dana Neese/Newington Forest pool in Fairfax County!
