You do not have to be a member of the Settlers Landing Pool to join the Settlers Landing Sharks Swim Team. Please use the Active swim link to register.

Swim team members are expected to be SLRA pool members. There is an additional $20 non-member fee per swimmer for swim team members who are not SLRA pool members. This fee may be paid via Venmo or check by June 1st.

WHAT YOUR CHILD NEEDS FOR THE SWIM TEAM:

A swimsuit, goggles, and a towel are needed for practice. Swimmers with longer hair are strongly encouraged to wear a swim cap at practice.

In addition, your child must bring a positive attitude and good listening skills to practice. The pool can be dangerous, and swimmers must listen to their coaches to avoid accidents.

April 22nd; 6:00-8:00pm

VA Swim Shop will be at the pool to get swimmers fitted properly for the required team suit. Our coaches will be present to meet & greet with swimmers and families. This is a great opportunity to connect with the team and get answers to your questions as well.

Swim Team Kickoff; 5:30-6:30pm
We will welcome ALL swimmers back for a fun evening together. There will be a Q&A session for parents as well.

Minimum Swimming Requirements for Settlers Landing Sharks Swim Team:

-Swimmers must be at least 5 years old
-Swimmers must be ready & willing to enter the water on a coach’s command, unassisted
-Swimmers must be ready & willing to put face in the water for an extended period of time

Swim team is NOT a learn-to-swim program. SLRA offers group swim lessons for children ages 3 to 10 years old who need to learn comfort in the water. Our swim team program is designed for children who are ready to learn the competitive strokes – Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly.
